Titanic vs. Titanic

Titanic from 1912
Titanic in 1997

Titanic. Everybody knows the story. Unsinkable ship + iceberg = Ship sinks. And everybody's at least in some way familar with the people that were on the Titanic, like the captain, or the company president. And I bet that the 1997 film is a main reason why the ship has remained in the public's mind. It's probably the only film that's been made about the Titanic that most people are aware of. There's plenty more, even one that was made by the Nazis(that's a real thing). In my opinion, A Night To Remember (released in 1958) is superior to the 1997 version(in terms of both being a film and being histroically accurate). But, how much is the James Cameron film like the real life events (considering that this is the version that most people knows)? We're going to look at four people who were involved in the sinking, and compare and contrast their real counterparts with their film counterparts. Plus, we're going to have a bonus page just for the heck of it. Enjoy!

The people that will be covered in this website are Captain Smith, Bruce Ismay, Thomas Andrews, and William Murdoch. Below is a timetable of each of their actions the night of the sinking.
